On tap at Mellow Mushroom, Charleston. Handsome russet-amber pour, fairly bright with a medium head to it. Nose is quite floral, with loads of hops and malt sweetness. Faint nutty notes among the general hoppy flavor, not quite so intense as many hoppy reds but the balance is admirable for all that. Enjoyable.

Bottle. Pours hazy amber reddish with a bid fluffy and steady off white head. The aroma contains notes of caramel malts, fruity hops and some spicy berries. The flavor is spicy fruity and hoppy with dark caramel notes. Dry hoppy finish. Berries and some herbal grassy notes. Great sessional. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle... Clear dirty-orange ale with a small, creamy, white head. Decent retention. The nose furnishes notes of caramel and dank, musky hops. Medium-bodied with a milky mouthfeel and modest carbonation. The flavor is a bittersweet blend of toffee, caramel and citrus rind. Lengthy finish with lingering bitterness. Bottle courtesy of Elliesbrown!

growler. Impressive, heavily hazed, amber ale. Hoppy nose w/ hints of ’red’ malts. Taste is soo hoppy for the style, in a nice way, but really has a fucking solid red backbone. Much more complex than I’d expected.

Growler from COAST. Pours red/brown with a good head. Unfiltered. Some hop aroma. Very bitter-hoppiness (word??) with a nice mellow malt finish. Great Hoppy Red Ale. Another great beer from COAST!
