Big thanks to RyanC84 for this growler, shared with the usual suspects at the Brick Store. Pours a hazy golden orange with a small creamy white head that recedes slowly and leaves a soapy film along the top and some spotty lacing. The aroma is big and fruity with lots of sweet tropical citrus, including grapefruits, pineapples and oranges. There is also a solid caramel malt aroma. The taste is just as good but a little bit different as the hops start off with a more astringent bitterness than I was expecting. The sweetness is provided by the caramel malts with a sugary character as well. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and sticky with hops and caramel malts. The carbonation is solid, especially considering it’s from a growler. I’ve been impressed with most Coast beers and this one is no exception. It’s a hop-forward, but not over-the-top, DIPA that remains extremely drinkable. Good stuff.

CL Flaming Fury Release party. Pours a nice clean bright copper/orange with a medium lasting head. Aroma is clean mango tropical hops, resinous a bit catty- amarillo, minty pine and low malt. Flavor is a honey toasty malt backbone with a resinous oily hop presence, tons of amarillo, tropical fruits, mango along with a ripe peach, more pine sap and a clean finish. Nice.

growler. Heavily hopped ale that still manages to remain drinkable & conceal it’s alcohol. Very enjoyable w/ intense bitterness and great mouthfeel!
