Very delicious and very black. Almost like an imperial Guiness. The 6.0 percent is well hidden, but the mouthfeel really makes this stand out as a Dry Irish Stout. Sticks to the style pretty well and you could drink it all day.

Pretty impressive stout, for a beer that hasn’t gotten much exposure. Pours a solid looking black, with almost no head, and minimal lacing. Aroma is a nice balance of chocolate, cream, roasted barley, and a touch of oats. Flavor is much the same, with just a touch of piney hops, and some nice bitterness. Nice powdered chcolate profile as well. The growler I had was 2 weeks old, and this was much better than a lot of other stouts out there. Very tasty.

I was impressed with both the Coast Hop Art and this beer. The body was a bit thin, but considering that it wasn’t served on nitro, it’s not too thin for a dry stout. Nice roastiness, nice relatively full flavor. I really enjoyed this beer.
