Growler, RBWG 2010. Pours a clear black body with a nice frothy light brown head. Nice roasty and chocolaty nose with some light hoppiness. The flavor is roasty, a little sweet up front, with a light bitterness on the finish. Not a whole lot of oat character in the flavor, but it does soften the mouthfeel a bit. Light to medium bodied with a long lingering coffee laced finish.

draft at the lodge in hilton head. pours dark brown with some ruby highlights and a short, light khaki head. aroma is very nice with creamy cocoa, milk chocolate, roasted malts and subtle notes of coffee grinds and vanilla. flavor was great with loads of roasted malts, bitter black coffee, nestle cocoa mix, and bittersweet dark chocolate with a bit of lactose sugar and light earthy hops rounding out the sip. palate is medium bodied and slightly creamy with light carbonation and a lingering, coffee & cream finish. overall, a damn nice stout from the coast boys.
