Poured from a 22 oz bottle into a Spaten Mug. The brew poured golden amber with a one finger white head. The aroma of this brew was overwhelmed by hops and was difficult to pick up any other aromas. The taste was pretty bitter as would be expected with an IPA, with a potently crisp bitter aftertaste upon swallowing. It had a medium body with moderate carbonation. There was slight lacing throughout. Overall this was a nice bitter and crisp IPA, but not one of my favorites as the flavor of the hops were a little overwhelming and probably masked quite a few of the other flavors. While I say this, it is still worth a try for an IPA-lover as you will most likely appreciate the crisp bitter aftertaste.

Bottle shared by Dunt on BA at DLD. Pours a slightly hazy copper color with a nicely formed white head. Aroma is very nice and hoppy. Citrusy and piney with some sweet malt to balance. Flavor is sort of like a less intense version of Boy King DIPA. Sweet pale and caramel malts along with citrus, pine, and resinous hops. Medium-bodied with a nice hoppy oiliness on the palate. Somewhat lively mouthfeel. A very solid IPA overall. COAST is legit it seems. Good to see some good beer coming out of the South.

Bottle at nimbleprop DC tasting, 6 March 2010. A new brewery for me, something I invariably look forward to, but this didnít really hit the spot for me. Plenty of hops to be sure. The hops are distinctly bitter, rather than aromatic, and I didnít pick up a lot of malt backbone so it was a bit too close to hop juice / tea for my taste. Not bad but not really my thing.

Draught from Sanctuary in SC. Cloudy amber with off-white head. Aroma is sweet oranges, and caramel and dough. Taste is mild sweet, orange and grapefruit (maybe touch of lemon) and bread. A funny bitter finish that is odd. A great brew though.

Growler fill at CBX. Pours a cloudy, mild amber color with thick white head. Aroma is not overwhelming, but I get a piny resin with a hint of grapefruit at the end. At first glance it looked like an average IPA. But then I tasted it and was quiet surprised. This is a super smooth drink as there seems to be little carbonation. As with the smell, I get a resin taste at the front and then comes the citrus to close the show. Has an excellent bitter pop at the end that I look for in a good IPA. This beer really stays with you after a sip. I continuously get the taste of the beer in the back of my mouth and tongue well after I have taken a drink. The palate on this beer is amazing. I would highly recommend this to any beer enthusiast. Well done Coast HopArt, Iíll be seeing you again.

22 oz bottle. Cloudy pale brown with a fluffy white head. Nose is orange and dough, a little dusty. Juicy medium body with a buzz. Taste is pink grapefruit, pith, juniper and capers. Bitter citric finish. Not bad but a bit harsh for me.

Perfumy, citrus nose; some sugars. Moderately sweet taste, lots of caramel and cotton candy, lightly bitter, lots of grapefruit and citrus. Medium body is dense and chewy. Blah.

22oz bottle pours a hazy, orange color with one ring of white, spitty head. Aroma is pretty nice, citrus, lemons, sweet, doughy, a little pine. Flavor is strongly bitter, lemons, grapefruit, a little bread, some light sweetness. Finish is lasting bitterness. A big IPA for sure. Could have been balanced a bit better.

Bottle from a great bottle shop. Pours a hazy golden orange with a good amount of white head, some lacing. Aroma is of lemony and orange hops. Taste is also hoppy, though not overly so, with a nice sweet bready malt presence. Finish is lightly hoppy. Mouth is medium bodied and carbonation is a little lighter than a lot of IPAs. Overall, a decent ale.
