On tap at Poe's on Sullivan's island. Good IPA, poured a hazy orange. Nice hop flavor with a nice malt balance. It's not an over the top IPA, but an excellent IPA none the less.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
A: Very fruity. Floral. Hops come through. Balanced
A: Pours a hazy orange color. Head is moderate size but the bubbles cascade through the beer as if it were a nitro tap. Pretty nice.
T: As with the smell, a big citrus note to start. Hops cut through sharply and the finish is smooth. Alcohol is a nice compliment.
P: Very nice. Medium/heavy body. Carbonation is on the money and smooth. The bitterness is a bit aggressive on the palate.
Overall a very nice IPA, and more of what I would expect from COAST. A solid citrus note sets this one apart. Otherwise nice on the palate, and the heavy mouthfeel helps subdue the alcohol. Very nice.

From bottle. Pours orange/amber with hazy and small head. Aroma is all hop. Citrus and pine. Taste is similar with a balance of malt and a nice clean bittering.

Draft at Charleston Beer Works. Pours a somewhat cloudy, bright gold color with a smallish eggshell white head that leaves a sheet of lace in the glass. Aroma of citrusy and floral hops, sweet malts, sugar, candy, and bread. Flavor of citrus and tropical fruits, grass, sweet malts, faint spice, and floral notes late. Light body, moderate carbonation, and a sweet mouthfeel that ends more bitter. Interesting IPA that seems just a bit restrained.

From the 11/2012 3R6P tasting. +++ Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy golden-apricot color with a small soapy white head that faded and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was sweet and tangy fruity hops, sugar and noticeable yeast. Dry, must and bitter flavor with notes of pine and tropical fruits. Medium length pine and tropical fruit finish. Medium body. Ok.

On tap at Grapevine. Orange colored pour with a white head. Huge hop aroma with citrus, pine, grapefruit, orange and even lemon. Taste is smooth and easy drinking, light carbonation, fairly bitter. Good beer, but nothing stands out as impressive. Probably goes bad pretty quick; apparently this keg was 6 days old. Id recommend as fresh as possible.

Growler from Greenville Beer Exchange, glad to see more COAST stuff on the growler stations!
A: Awesome pour, absolutely gorgeous pour. Copper in color with a huge fluffy/billowy head. Retention is excellent
S: Less West Coast-y than I remember and more citrusy this time around...maybe its the growler, maybe the bottle I had earlier wasn’t as fresh. Either way, seemingly sturdy bitterness backed by a graham cracker-like malt. Some pine and resin, but more citrusy
T: Similar to the nose, the bitterness is bumped up a little with a well hopped flavor. Citrusy again (grapefruit, lemon?), pine, light resin, and balanced by malts well
MF/O: Smooth carbonation, medium body, very nice feel. Very drinkable, but I prefer the growler version to the bottle
COAST has never disappointed me, I hope they will get the outstanding recognition that they deserve
