Walking a fine line of sweet malt and assertive hop character. A hop presence so enticing it truly is a work of art. Ingredients: two-row*, Munich* & caramel 20* malts, pacific gems* , centennial & cascades hops, ale yeast and tripled filtered water. *organic

From the 11/2012 3R6P tasting. +++ Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy golden-apricot color with a small soapy white head that faded and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was sweet and tangy fruity hops, sugar and noticeable yeast. Dry, must and bitter flavor with notes of pine and tropical fruits. Medium length pine and tropical fruit finish. Medium body. Ok.

On tap at Grapevine. Orange colored pour with a white head. Huge hop aroma with citrus, pine, grapefruit, orange and even lemon. Taste is smooth and easy drinking, light carbonation, fairly bitter. Good beer, but nothing stands out as impressive. Probably goes bad pretty quick; apparently this keg was 6 days old. Id recommend as fresh as possible.

Growler from Greenville Beer Exchange, glad to see more COAST stuff on the growler stations! A: Awesome pour, absolutely gorgeous pour. Copper in color with a huge fluffy/billowy head. Retention is excellent S: Less West Coast-y than I remember and more citrusy this time around...maybe its the growler, maybe the bottle I had earlier wasn’t as fresh. Either way, seemingly sturdy bitterness backed by a graham cracker-like malt. Some pine and resin, but more citrusy T: Similar to the nose, the bitterness is bumped up a little with a well hopped flavor. Citrusy again (grapefruit, lemon?), pine, light resin, and balanced by malts well MF/O: Smooth carbonation, medium body, very nice feel. Very drinkable, but I prefer the growler version to the bottle COAST has never disappointed me, I hope they will get the outstanding recognition that they deserve

The aroma is hoppy and has a sweet sugary quality. The hops are grassy and herbal. There is also an earthiness to it. The appearance is amber gold with a small head. The taste is like the aroma. The palate is thin. Overall not bad.

Pours ever-so-slightly hazy golden amber into the glass, with an initially frothy head that reduces to a nice cap leaving light soapy lacing. The nose is of woody pine and light floral accents. Flavors show plentiful hops and some light citrus, through sweet caramel malt. The finish shows some really nice flowers and lavender subtly behind a solid pine hopping. The small trace of alcohol just squeaks in at the end of the pull. The body is exquisite, with a round mouthfeel embedded in soft carbonation. The quaff is easy and the palate still feels quite active. Super easy drinking for the summertime, but complex enough to be a substantial IPA. Very tasty indeed, and a solid offering. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This beer is a delicious treat. It pours a cloudy golden with some white head. It smells very citrusy and floral. When you taste it you will be in IPA Ecstasy. The flavor is a very well balanced hop and malt note. I love this beer and wish I had bought more than one bomber.
