A: Very fruity. Floral. Hops come through. Balanced A: Pours a hazy orange color. Head is moderate size but the bubbles cascade through the beer as if it were a nitro tap. Pretty nice. T: As with the smell, a big citrus note to start. Hops cut through sharply and the finish is smooth. Alcohol is a nice compliment. P: Very nice. Medium/heavy body. Carbonation is on the money and smooth. The bitterness is a bit aggressive on the palate. Overall a very nice IPA, and more of what I would expect from COAST. A solid citrus note sets this one apart. Otherwise nice on the palate, and the heavy mouthfeel helps subdue the alcohol. Very nice.

16 oz can courtesy of a friend, thanks Ben! Batch 465 canned on 5/10/2016. Poured into a Spiegelau tulip. Hazy but not quite murky orange with a finger of beige head. Aromas of toasty notes, biscuit, citrus, malt. Tastes of biscuit, floral notes, citrus, toasty notes. Medium body with a dry finish. On the malty/biscuity side of IPAs.

Pounder: Tinny and piney orange peel nose. Clear copper, medium yellow head. Pine and orange, tea finish. Medium body, easy carbonation, resinous.

Piney resinous hoppy aroma with descent malt balance. Slight sweet malty with a dry bitter resinous finish. Has a bit of a dirty unfiltered hop feel. Drinkable descent ipa, but nothing impressive. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

16 oz can poured into snifter. Cloudy orange. Good white head. Not much aroma. Mostly citrus hop up front with some pine. Good balance. Nice finish. Nice lacing on glass. Good beer from Coast. Nice to have in cans and not just bombers.

On tap. Deep amber brew with tan head, darker than many IPA’s. Moderate aroma of earth, spice and a little citrus. Taste is nicely balance malt and hoops - modest malt with a hop forward citrus / spice at the start of the swallow, maltiness emerges towards the middle of the swallow and then is balanced with a very pleasant earth / spice finish.

Tallboy can into a snifter. 3.0 A: Murky copper plum color. Not quite one finger of frothy off-white head. Retention is below average, especially for the style and a short ring of lacing is left. 3.5 S: Mix of a few different hop components - pine and grapefruit, nondeScript spiciness, orange with a touch of lemon zest, and floral. Mild bready yeastiness with honey and caramel notes. Despite the complexity, it’s not as vibrant as I’d like. 3.5 T: Moderate bitterness. The bready yeastiness is pretty strong and distracting at times. Caramel and a slight toastiness. The hops are primarily piney with grapefruit. The other components listed in the smell are there as well, but all pretty subdued. 3.25 M: Medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Lacking creaminess but it is rather chewy due to the yeastiness. 3.5 D: It’s not bad, but I prefer cleaner, less yeasty IPAs as a general rule. ★ 911 characters DavoleBomb, Jan 11, 2016

Not much nose. Very nice mouth feel. This beer almost has a toasted malt flavor. It is a great example of balance between malt and hops. It is a very good beer.

Draft at Beer Works in Charleston, SC The IPA poured a hazy amber with an off white head and lacing. the aroma of grapefruit rind greets you. The taste was fuller with spice, orange rind and malts. The ale has a medium body with average carbonation. The finish was smooth with some dryness and lacking bitterness of the hops.

Charleston, SC - Charleston Beer Exchange - 16 oz can. Medium orange, slightly hazy pour with a snow white silky head. Solid, fresh aromatic spruce accents. Resiny, citrus accented flavor, some caramel sweetness, a touch of spearmint spiciness. Decently thick mouthful. Pretty solid.
