COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Described to me by the store owner where I bought it as a Belgian/ somewhat Gueuze-style beer. Someone please update this description...

This one took a little getting used to. Completely caught off guard at the tartness of the beer. At the first few sips it reminded me of a really poorly made flemish/gueuze/fruit beer all rolled into one, and still somehow being pretty enjoyable.

The beer pours out a murky orange with a thick 3 inch off-white head. Aromas are white grapes, cranberries, unripe strawberries and a bit lemony. A suprisingly nice combo of sweet and sour, with a fruit punch kind of flavor. Various berries with a clear tartness and a touch of funk made this quite the suprise. Again, the guys I was drinking this with was wondering what hell I’m thinking when I enjoy this beer.

This fruit beer pours a orange gold color from a 22oz bottle. Medium to large sized white foamy head, with good retention and nice lacing. Aroma is blackberries, cranberries, orange, some tartness and some funk. Medium bodied ale. The malts are fruity and sweet with lots of blackberries and orange flavors, yet it has a lot of saison and gueuze character as well. Makes for a strange combination that, for this bottle at least, work very well. The fruit sweetness is whacked by the tartness, but manages to survive somehow. Good carbonation. Nice balance. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet with some long lasting tartness.

The aroma is orange and citrus. Ripe amber color with a white head that filmed rapidly. Medium bodied, lightly carbonated, starting with a fair amount of citrus sour. Mildly sour* it is. The finish has a bit of wood and contrasting sweetness to go with the sour.. Really refreshing drink. *tart doesn’t quite fit.

Hazy, bright yellow. Cheese aroma, with notes of vomit in a subway station (reminds of me somehow--I don’t mean this as a dig...remember that we use the words "horseblanket" and "cobwebs" in endearing ways for gueuze). Fruity front, berries in the mouth. Thin body. Not entirely to my liking. (on tap at City Beer in San Francisco)

On tap @ The Bistro poured a clear amber with a large lasting ivory head. Aromas of lactic, apple, cranberry and a hint of spice. Palate was light bodied, crisp and slightly tart. Flavors of apple, cranberry, light spice and some lactic notes with a crisp, lingering lightly tart finish. A very unusual but tasty beer!

HUGE fruity flavors and aromas in this belgian style ale. Lots and lots of berries, tangerine, and just plenty of fruit. I like my fruitbeer with very little fruit.

22 ounce bottle shared by grant. Cheesy, funky, corn-silage, sour, salty aroma. Green apples/acetaldehyde aromas are also in there. Man, this is not very pleasant. Moderately hazy peach colored body with a very small, quickly-dissipating off-white head. Pretty ugly shit. Lightly sour, quite acidic start, which becomes salty, cheesy with some light sweet and sourness present. Definitely different, but too cheesy and salty. I had to pour this because it was revolting. The creativity is nice, but it is unfortunate that they bottle this shit and then actually charge people money for it.

tap. Pours with a wonderful hazy golden color. Great aromas of fruit, peach, apricot and berries. Very nice flavors of apricots, berries and some citrusy tartness. It was described to me as a sour, I think it is a mellow sour with lots of offsetting sweetness, but that is what I prefer over aberrations like the La Folie.

Very hazy golden yellow with a slight rosy tinge. Medium grained, somewhat sparse head. Sour, buttery (buttered popcorn) cheesy aroma with some cherry and berry hints, butyric acid. Aroma is just kind of gross. Somewhat metallic, citric taste. Very sweet, yet dead flavor. Not pleasant.
