Appearance: Pours an almost clear, pale yellow body with a fizzy white head. Smell: The aroma holds both fruit and spices, along with a good measure of yeastiness. Taste: Gentle maltiness, with a very light sweetness. Fruity orange peel flavor throughout. A dusty, dry yeastiness. Hints of a pepper. Finishes spicy, with just a very mild bitterness. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: Though a touch different from other saisons I’ve had in the past, it’s still nicely refreshing and easy-drinking. Like a saison-lite!

hazy honey color with a small for a saison head, non-lasting. powerful aroma; first pepper, then spicy yeast, almost asian like. taste falls behind the aroma. fairly bland with the yeast really coming out. reminds me of the clipper city saison for some reason. this lacks a crisp sharpness i usually associate with this style. did not care for it although all the beers i got at riverside mkt in WI all tasted the same. old

Nice looking gold body with semi-loose white head. Slightly funky aroma - some hops. Sweet medium body, plenty of hops up front. Some bready yeast and spice.

Bottle. Pours turbid dull gold with 1-finger of sticky, off-white head. Aroma is dusty yeast esters, spicy florals, honey, hopcitrus, and some funky feety notes. The flavor is yeasty malty, hopcitric, with mid-palate florals and spiciness leading to honey malty and fruity finishing notes. Solid palate complexity, as this one seemed to change gears from fruity to floral to spicy throughout its life cycle.

Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow color with some fizzy white head. Aroma is a bit doughy and yeasty with a tad bit of citrus, but mostly similar to BMC aromas. Flavor is lemony, peach, straw, dandelions, and a bit of a tart bitter finish. Overall, eh.

Picked up a single 12-oz bottle at Bob’s McFarland Liquors in McFarland, Wisconsin. Pours a clear golden pale brew with a creamy and large bubbly white head that slowly dissolves with good lacing. Aroma of yeast, some dry spice, citrus, some sour milk, and a touch of floral hops. Taste is light carbonated, medium bodied, with a yeasty with some spice, clove and corlander flavors. Finish is slightly dry, with a hard yeast, orange peel and wheat aftertaste.

On tap @ Toranado, san Francisco. 7-22-06. Remember this being one of my favorite saisons. Spicy, a little funky, floral & easy drinking. took a while to find the name but remember the label
