3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 IrishBoy (3265) - Bakersfield, California, USA - AUG 18, 2011
12 oz bottle from bhensonb (in my fridge for 2 2/3 years)! According to him maybe the last bottle in existance. (Unless maybe someone has a sixer in the back of their garage) Probably a 2006 bottle but amazingly drinkable with no obvious oxidation and it had a screwtop cap. Nose is lightly fruity (maybe peach note) with background light licorice (maybe carmel malts aging). Very lightly hazy orange with a small beige head. Flavor is malty caramel with light bitterness and a pine hint. Wonder what is was like fresh? Kind of like a very light barlewine!
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 hayduke (2445) - Eureka, California, USA - NOV 21, 2008
From bhensonb I am always glad to get a retired beer, though I always feel like I am eating the last passenger pigeon. This poured a nice copper to amber color with a good white head and nice lacing. Nose of caramel malt and fruit hops. Decent mouthfeel. Flavor not complex, but a good balance of malts and hops that made for a decent beer. Bitter finish. This bottle may have been a few years old but it held up well. I wonder if there are any more bottles hiding in someone else’s beer cellar. .
3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 marcus (3776) - Sacramento, California, USA - JUN 27, 2008
From bhensonb. This amber ale poured with a foamy beige head that seeped from the top of the bottle as soon as I opened it. I think it’s been sitting on the shelf for a while and has probably improved with age. There is a good balance of malt and hops, resulting in a smooth tasty flavor. Thanks for finding this, Bill.
2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 bhensonb (7143) - Woodland, California, USA - JUN 21, 2008
12 oz. bottle. No ratings since 2006. So this is a bottle from a BevMo that is seriously dusty. Six pack on a bottom shelf priced at $4.99. Pricing from those thrilling days of yesteryear. Fingers crossed. Copper color with a decent off-white head. Light caramel malt aroma with a touch of fruity hop. Thin to medium body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is buttery, with light caramel and some decent floral hop. Finish is balanced, and rather dry. This might be 3 or 4 years old, but it was down in the dark cool area. Aged pretty well. I really like it.

Bottle. Clear copper color with a slight wisp of a head. Aroma of butter and pears. Caramel, pears, cereal and a slight diacetyl flavor. Very fruity and somewhat acidic.

Bottled at The Rover, Gothenburg. Clear, golden ale with a nice off-white head. The aroma is malty with caramel notes, with very fruity hops and pine. The flavor starts bitter, then malt and caramel appears. Sweet, full body and a long bitter finish. (060824)

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Slightly hazy amber golden with a small, off-white head. Aroma of overripe fruit. Medium body, sweetish malty with caramelish notes - and then again some overripe fruit. A somewhat surprising hop bitterness appears late. 300806
