4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a hazy orange with a good white head that fades into a thin white layer.
Smells of grapefruit and orange with some sweetness and a touch of biscuit.
Starts out with a sweet burst of citrus rounding out into a piney bitterness then a earthy spicy bitterness that lingers on the tongue long after the taste. Finishes very dry.
Maybe a touch too much carbonation, but pretty good. Mouthfeel is just about perfect.
This is a top notch DIPA alright, but just a couple things prevent it from getting the to the top of the heap. Still a great beer, I’d love to have again if the opporitunity arises.

Bottle as an extra thanks to icehawk. Shared with charule. Huge thanks Erick! Pours a cloudy orange red color with a slight white head. Aroma of huge hops. Mango, pineapple tropical fruits, alcohol. Amazing in the aroma. The taste is slightly on the bitter side. Medium carbonation and medium body.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
This bottled brew from rbsg #61 poured a head of foamy fine to medium sized off-white colored bubbles that were and left behind a no visible carbonation hazy dark orange colored body. The nice aroma was hoppy. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The strong flavor contained notes of hops. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
32 oz. growler, sent from Elliesbrown (thanks a lot, Zack!), pours a fairly clear orange with a small beige head. Nose is full of tropical fruits (pineapple, peach and mango, in particular), loads of citrus and resinous hops, and a big malt backbone. Flavour is robustly tropical fruit-heavy and citrus and resinous hops heavy, loads of grapefruit, and with a big, but not overdone, malt backbone. The hops pack a punch, but a beautiful one, without any astringency whatsoever. Full bodied and robust. Beautiful IIPA.

Thanks to Holland for this IP trade. Bomber served in a Founders snifter. Bottled 8-25-2011.
A: Pours a chilled hazy amber with a fluffy and soapy looking white head. Bubbly in nature and leaves some nice sticky lace on the way down.
S: Smell fruity, floral, sweet, has a little malt character and finishes with a slight bitterness.
T: More pin and caramel malt flavors come out than in the nose. There is still a subtle sweetness and fruitiness though. Finish is slightly bitter.
M: Medium bodied, creamy, nicely carbonated with a high drinkability.
O: It had a high drinkability and some nice flavors going on, but it didn’t live up to the hype I had placed in my own head.

Growler from Growlers, Hilton Head. Pours coppery-orange with thin off-white head. Aroma is sharply hoppy with essence of grapefruit, mango, and hints of resin, along with a fairly prominent toasty malt presence. Taste is wonderful and along the same lines as the aroma, perhaps with even more maltiness to support the significant hops. This is a keeper!
