Cask (handpump) @ Market Porter, 9 Stoney Street, Southwark, London, Greater London, England SE1 9AA.

Clear medium to dark amber color with a small average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, dark roasted, nutty, light hoppy. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration, spicy peppery finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20100102]

Cask, gravity, at Luton BF ’10. My third beer from Coastal. The other two, Handliner and Merry Maidens Mild, were both very good. This was a disappointment. Dark amber with a small white head. Faint hairy malt aroma, developing some sweetness. Tatse was malty but rather grim and dreary. Some bitterness. Just didn’t hit the mark, I fear.

Cask@Market Porter, London. Deep amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is fruits, nuts, wood and some slight toasted notes. Flavour is quite much the same in a nice balance. A rather berryish touch in the finish.
