COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tybee Island Blonde is a Kölsch style ale. It is a clean, crisp, session beer brewed with noble hops. The Blonde has a light floral aroma and a mild hop bitterness. The agreeable nature of this German style ale means that it will get along well with many foods, but you have to pick a dish that won’t overwhelm it. Being that we are on the coast, we suggest you start by pairing it with some seafood!

On tap @ Pirate’s House / Savannah GA --- Clear rich golden amber with a wispy head cover, bubbly rim head, pebbled curtain of lace. Clean malt opens the taste, moving casually through the palate to a mild bitter hop finish that adds carbonation fizz as a kicker. This is a solid food beer, really easy to drink. Recommended.

Can, Pours a straw color with a foamy head that fades to some lacing. Aroma of citrus, light fruit and bit of malt. Taste of fruit, malt sweetness and bit of grain. Easy bitterness and a clean finish. Light body, crisp and refreshing. Nice Kolsch beer, good for the summer days.

Can sampled at Classic City Brew Fest 2014. Pretty spot on to the description, noble hops and crisp cleanliness. Standard kolsch, light and easy, nothing remarkable.

On tap at the Distillery. Pours a clear light orange with a thick white head. Aroma of pale malts, light fruits, peach, spicy hops. Flavor of bready malt, tons of spices I can’t quite place, light bitter hops, light fruits. An interesting and different kolsch, I quite liked this one. 7/4/7/4/15 (3.7/5)

UPDATED: MAR 16, 2014 Nothing very remarkable about this beer. Had it on draft at The Pirate’s House. Very forgettable.

12oz can. Clear, gold color. White froth. Aroma of corn meal, pale grains, straw/hay. Crisp taste. Flavor of straw, pale malts, earthy hay-like bitterness. A very nice blonde. Very refreshing. Medium bodied. Another superb beer from Coastal Empire. (3977)

10/28/13. 12oz can from World of Beer Savannah. Blond pour with a small khaki head. Doughy, biscuit aroma with pale malts and a dash of citrus. Doughy flavor, biscuit, pale malts, and some mild citrus and grass. Not bad.

Pours a clear golden with a sudsy white foamy head. Lightly nutty aroma, sweet malty, a bit creamy full, some vanilla. Flavor is a bit chalky and yeasty, seemingly wheaty, touch of honey, fairly dry. Crisp body, a bit gritty, smaller soda carbonation.
