2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
12 oz bottle from BevMo (house beer?). Slightly hazy amber color with a flat white head. Floral or citrus hop (light) with some malt background. Near medium body with carbonation that prickles. Seems slightly gummy. Itís a bit short on ingredients, but finishes ok (bitter). Might be a bit overpriced for the flavor level, but itís not a bad thing.

Whoa - the cap blew off when I popped it. Just missed my head. This beer is amber with a huge off-white head. It looks good, but tastes sort of skunky. There is a fairly heavy malt base with some bitterness at the finish.

(22 oz bottle: $2.60 at BevMo in La Jolla, CA) Eh, my first impression isnít very favorable. The nose combines grassy, floral, caramel and sugary aromas, and the mix comes out kind of strange smelling to me. Strange, as in different, yes, but also strange, as in, Iím not sure I like this or not. The flavor is a little more straightforward, lightly malty, fairly grainy and mildly sweet with a gentle grapefruit bitterness in the finish. Itís your basic amber color, and is fully clear in appearance. Smallish off-white head fades to a thin film and leaves several rows of dashes of lace resembling coastal barrier islands off the coast off the Mid Atlantic states. The bomber of this stuff is inexpensive as hell, but also not all that great, so itís still unlikely Iíd ever buy this again, even at this price, because all my subsequent impressions during this session arenít very favorable either.
