3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 mattstrib (12) - Truro, Cornwall, ENGLAND - DEC 13, 2011
At The Front, Falmouth. Nice black/reddish colour with creamy head which was short lived. Roast and toffee on the nose with plum fruit. Creamy feel on taste with malt and roast, sweetness is mixture of fruit and toffee with a moderate bitterness. Finish is fairly long with a growing bitterness as the sweetness fades. A good mild, would choose again.

Cheesy aroma - feet. Sweet raisiny, almost port-like, taste. Wooly in the mouth too, tobacco, some ashtray burntness. Cheese pops up in the retronasals sometimes. Shame, as otherwise it’s very good.
