Cask handpump at The Wellington, Birmingham. Very dark red, almost stout-like in appearance, with a short head. Raspberry scent. Slightly watery with some bitterness and a dry end. Very fruity, full of winter berries with some strawberries in the finish. I couldn’t help feeling that it is hardly a prototypical mild, and it would work very well as a Christmas special, but still very nice.
