2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Found this for 5 bucks a sixer in Food Lion Kinston, NC, and this one sucked ass. The pour was dark straw with off-white head, with a nose of caramel malt, mild hops, and a sour mashy fruit twang. The flavor was caramel malty, with backup hops and a sour twinge that made me think this one may have begun merging onto infection highway. I may try another, or I may dump the rest of the sixer down the drain, depending upon how fast I go through the good beer I bought at Cindirene’s in Ayden, NC.

12 ounce bottle courtesy of maniac. Thanks! Pours a clear reddish amber with a thin head. Aroma is malty with some odd tart notes. Taste is caramel and butterscotch with a bitter finish. Medium bodied. Strange one.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Slightly hazy dark orange bronze colored body. The thin light khaki head clings well to the glass. The nose is light almonds with some orange peels. There is also some dried flower character. The taste is relatively dry and very nutty with almonds and a light orange juice character. There is a little bit of leather. A decent drinkable amber.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This beer was brewed by Coastal Brewing in Dover. From a bottle purchased at the Food Lion. Looks like iced tea with a thin creamy head. Nice bready yeast aroma, smells of good qulaity. Initially not a lot of bitter ale character on the tongue. Fairly mild and enjoyable to a lager lover. Decent carbonation. Overall, a beer with mild ale attributes yet friendly enough to be not over the top in hoppiness. Decent lacing. Malt or hop bitterness tries to build on the back of the throat but it never really gets there. Cannot taste much alky in there. One of the more enjoyable ambers I’ve had lately.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Medium amber, clear, slight head. Courtesy of maniac, I believe from MaltDawg. Aroma was light caramel hops and faintly citric hops. Flavor matched. Very similar to Bud American I thought. Not bad, but not inspiring either.
