3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Beer Central, Sheffield. Hazy gold. Thin, sticky, white head. Thick, tinned peach, toffee thing going on. Some boozy spiciness, too. Taste is chunky, fudgy sweet. Some spice. Soft bitterness. Palate is thick and chewy. Soft carbonation emphasises this. Finish is chewy sweet, and light bitter. Big beer, but for me, needs more greasy hop. Still really enjoyed this, though.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask at The Thorn Tree, Waingrove, nr Ripley, Derbyshire 11.05.12 Pours orange/amber no head. Sticky with plenty of hops, thick mouthfeel; bitter aftertaste. Proper IPA and a very good beer but at this strength a half is enough, though I did then go an get another half later on, this beer coupled with all of the other great beers on at this pub has meant I feel a bit rough today.
