This is a golden beer with a distinct blueberry aroma and a subtle fruity flavor. The low hop character and blueberry flavor make for a very refreshing brew.

Sample at the brewpub on 7/3/13. Clear gold in color with a thick white head. Aroma of fresh blueberry and malt. Malty flavor with fresh blueberry before a semi-dry finish. Probably their best beer we sampled.

On Tap at the brewery. Basically their golden ale with blueberries. Bonus points for actually floating some blueberries in the glass. Aroma is slightly fruity, a bit of biscuit on the nose. Flavor is blueberry juice and carbonation. Very thin mouthfeel. Refreshing but weak.

Served on draft at the brewpub. Pours a clear pale golden color with a thin creamy white head. Good head retention. Aroma of faint blueberries and faint pale malts. The taste is blueberries, pale malts and a faintly tart note. Thin bodied. Weak beer.

Draft at the source, served with blueberries in it. Hazy gilden color, thick white head, solid lacing. Aroma of straw and very subtle berries. Taste is similar.

A very solid brew, with berries floating in the brew. Softer feel than the ale bits of grape nuts fruit aromas and just a hint of hop bitter in the finish. Texture is lighly creamy and feels complementary to the berries. Drinkable refreshing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Golden with a white head that has nice retention. A hint of blueberry in the aroma. Sweet blueberry flavor. The bubbles make the blueberry dance in the glass. Frothy texture. Medium body.

I’m not normally a fan of fruit beers but this one was decent. It was not nearly as sweet as most fruit beers. It was served at the brewpub with blueberries in it as a nice touch.

(Rating #3165)

On tap at the brewpub. Isn’t this just the Golden Ale with some blueberries thrown in? Apparently a trend, because this is the second brewpub beer I’ve had where they’ve taken an existing tap style, added blueberries after pour, and called it a second beer. All that being said, it’s much less offensive than many fruit beers. Keeping the frozen blueberries for after the pour keeps the flavor relatively fresh, not fighting with the beer characters, and not weirded out by fermentation or time in a conditioning container.
