The_Captain (331), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 28, 2008 On tap- Poured a clear nut brown with an off-white long lasting foam head, lots of lacing. Slight caramel malts on the nose carries into the pallet. Mild with little bitterness, semi dry finish. desurfer (1039), Pinellas Park, Florida, USA Jul 14, 2007 Medium dark amber, little head. This is pretty good; a nice not-to-sweet maltiness with a twang of English hops. Definitely a good session beer. beerbill (1321), Laurel, New York, USA Jun 30, 2007 On tap at Coddingtons. Arrived at the table in a pounder. Pours a clear ruby red with a thin white head. Very light aroma of caramel. Much more flavorful than the aroma would indicate. Initially, there is some caramel and a bit of malt. After about 4 or 5 seconds, a wonderful hazelnut aftertaste kicks in. Delicious! Medium bodied. Probably my favorite beer from Coddingtons during this recent trip. Probiere (992), Iowa, USA Jun 21, 2005 Old copper penny color, a mild toffee-nuttiness, smoth medium body, hints of raisins, clean, slighty sticky finish. Nice maltiness, clean, balanced, slight citrus/floral notes from the hops in middle and end. Their best so far.
