COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our lightest beer on tap with a light hop character and a crisp clean finish. Our Golden is closest to an American lager making it a good choice for someone trying a micro brew for the first time.

(Rating #3164)

On draught at the brewpub and part of their regular lineup. Arrived at the table a crystal clear pale yellow gold with no head at all. Mild aroma of malt and that’s about it. The flavor is mild malt and Italian bread followed by some mild hops bitterness. Thin, watery body. Someone trying this as their first micro brew might be tempted to go back to Coors Light.

Yellow with tons of bubbles. White foam head. Malty nose. Biscuity flavor like a blond. Spotty white lacing. Refreshing bite. Sweet, sticky finish.

I had this at the brewpub from the tap as part of the sampler. It was good but nothing special. It was much like a Budweiser with flavor.

Yellow golden pour white head ... a little lacing .... Aroma of sweet malts and a bit grainy .... sweet and bready malt taste with a dry malty finish .... Just as advertised easy drinking and for the typical beer drinker, definitely better than the buds of the world though.

On tap at the brewpub. Aroma is subtle, but a little all over the place. Some raw grains, a bit of bread, and some generic alcohol. Pours a slightly hazed pale yellow-gold with a white head. Flavors are find. Generally, clean and bland they slide into a bit of dirtiness with some rough edges in cut grass, stale bread, and cheese rind. Nothing egregious, though. This is a fairly classic, light brewpub Golden for beginners, which makes it less appealing to someone with experience in craft brew.

My Bottom Line:
Clean bready malts topple the light herbal hops and their timid citrus zest in this friendly but unmemorable Golden Ale.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam covers the clear yellow.
-This beer may be for macro drinkers, but it offers more malt flavors and better balance throughout.
-Carbonation was prickly, as it to be expected in this case.
-The body was too thin for my liking in the style.

On tap at the brewpub.

Part of a 7 beer, 7oz each sampler. For some reason I seemed to have a better experience than most of the other reviewers who have visited this place. I found that all the beers I sampled were very well done and true to their styles. None of them were exceptional but, even in the styles that I don’t usually go for I found them to be pretty good. The blonde ale is one that I generally don’t care too much for but I found this one to be quite drinkable compared to others I have had.

Draught @ Brewpub: This one poured a crystal clear pale yellow color with a small white head on it. The aroma was very weak. Good, but just almost nothing there. Faint notes of malts and grassiness. The taste is equally light. Just a slight taste of malts and grassy hops. Very much a starter beer. Good for the Bud Light crew only.
