On tap and ABV is actually 7.9%. Clear amber color. Aroma is really faint consisting of sweeter malts, figs, and dried fruit. Taste is the same. Leaves a sweeter finish with figs present. Nice and smooth for 7.9%

The aroma is pleasant, malty, fruity, sweet. The appearance is an attractive mohagany, cream color head. The flavor is sweet, fruity, apples, figs. The finish has a lin gering sweetness, competing with light hops. Overall, a decent beer, best of the Coddington beers I tried.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Cryotek (206) - Pawtucket, Rhode Island, USA - JAN 26, 2008
This beer only gets ratted once a year, and this year its my turn, ha! Definitely warmed me up, i had to take my hat off after this beer. Sweet and a faint spicey taste. Like the golden ale with different kicks of taste and strong alc. Very smooth and very easy to drink makes this beer stand out a little. One of their better efforts!
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Immy (1948) - Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA - JAN 20, 2007
Amber with a light beige head. Sweet, malty nose, toffee and spice. Sweet flavor, light raisin and caramel. Dried fig is light in the flavor but more apparent in the finish. Very unique mouthfeel, an odd type of smoothness I can’t quite find words for. Very drinkable and damn tasty.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 TrevorFloyd (309) - Connecticut, USA - DEC 11, 2005
Fairly light body, the flavor is primarily restricted to figs. ABV is slightly elevated, but not noticeable. Not a bad drink for the season, but it could use some beefing up.
