3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 beerbill (2938) - Laurel, USA - JAN 4, 2012
22 oz. bottle. Pours a clear burnished gold with a moderate off-white head that lasted almost to the very end and left light lace. Pleasant aroma of citrus and mild caramel. The flavor begins with malt, light caramel and mild toast, followed by some fairly restrained citrusy hops bitterness. I think to most American palates, this would probably be interpreted as an APA as opposed to an IPA. A solid beer as it is, but a bit restrained, even for a non-hophead like me.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Strykzone (3132) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - MAY 16, 2011
Sampled at an ESBLS tasting. (Batch 3) No Name IPA hand written on the bottle. Cloudy copper with a funky off white head. Cool lacing. Very light aroma with what might be light cinnamon and some funky yeast. Apricot in the flavor. Other fruit that is faint citrus. It has dry bitterness. Also some plastic flavor. It tries to get spicy on the finish and barely gets there. Some occasional tangerine sneaks in and some menthol. This is like a homebrew experiment.
