22oz bottle. Medium brown pour with very little head. Slightly sweet caramel malt. Comes across as slightly thin in taste and palate but still quite drinkable.

22 oz. bottle. Pours a clear reddish brown with a thin-moderate tan head that lasted through the first quarter of the glass and left light lace. Pleasant aroma of malt and a bit of nuts. The flavor is similar with malt and just a bit of nuts. Perhaps a touch of caramel too. Mild-moderate bitterness at the finish. Medium bodied. Nice problem-free beer that is easy to drink.

Bottle from Julios. Very good looking into the glass. Good frothy tan head and a lovely deep brown color. Light malty aromas - let this one warm a bit and the flavor comes through better. Well balances roasty malts but not too sweet or too heavy. Easy drinking. Very nice.

Batch #7 poured from a 22oz bottle into a Sam Adams lager glass. Poured a dark brown, opaque, with no head or lacing. Showed signs of bottle conditioning. Not much nose. Lightly bitter at first, finishing slightly sweet --- well balanced. Good carbonation, very light body, and thin body. Overall, this brown is nothing special, but certainly not bad at all. It is a very easy drink and worth $5, especially for a small brew.

Barely pours any head and no lacing. Deep clear ruby color, ton of yeast left in glass. Very light carbonation and medium bodied. Nose is smoky and flavor has smokiness with some malt sweetness. Batch #5, $4.99 for a 22oz bottle from Kappy’s Fine Wine & Spirits Peabody, Ma.

Had on tap at Flatbread’s. Pour was a dark brown opaque ale with a thin tan head. Aroma was primarily of carmel and chocolate malt character with the barest of hop aroma. Taste was nicely sweet with just enough balancing hope bitterness. Mouthfeel was the treat here. Very smooth and creamy with a pleasant carbonation making this exceedingly drinkable. 22oz slid down half way through my pizza.

Pours deep mahogany into a Sam glass. Off-white head quickly recedes to hug rim. Smoked caramel aromas. Thin with upfront molasses turning smoky in the lasting finish.
