Poured on tap from Whole foods in HB. The beer has a hazy orange color with a medium head. The aroma has citrus like lemons and pears. Also some honey. Taste has more citrus with some malts.

Draft at Select Beer Store in Redondo Beach. I was returning to San Diego from a business trip in Los Angeles and just couldn’t deal with the traffic on the 405. So I used my trusty RateBeer app to locate this nice little bar / beer store. I was surprised to see this rare Ballast Point brew as I had not come across it yet in San Diego. Pours a golden amber color with frothy white head. Aroma of flowers, honeysuckle, and honey caramel with lesser hoppy notes of citrus and pine. Flavor of herby earthy bitter hops and spicy hops with a bit of citrus (yuzu?) and grapefruit. Definitely a hop bomb with a lingering earthy bitterness. (7, 778)

On tap @ O’Brien’s; Poured in a small 8 oz. glass. Color was a light gold topped with a miniature layer of head. Aroma is citrus with an odd hint of strawberry smoothie. The taste is bitter yet somewhat acidic. The beer ends metallic with a reminder of bitter and a watery finish.

On tap. Golden pour with a white head. Aroma is subdued hop bitterness with a very clean, dry malt profile. Taste is fairly bitter with pine and a clean malt backbone. Clean, crisp mouthfeel. Very balanced and drinkable beer.

Orange in color with a white head. The nose is a pleasant mix of citrus, pine, and malt. Good grapefruit and tangerine with some pine, hints of grass, and sweet caramel. The flavor is overly sweet and a bit disappointing. Lots of caramel and bread with subdued citrus hop flavors and a light pine bitterness.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 jonno (2013) - JAPAN - DEC 22, 2012
Excellent tropical fruit layered over citrus with a light, clean, though solid malt base. A hint of sake yeast, but this is basically a big, hoppy wcipa. Nice lacing. Hops aren’t super ’punchy’, but ever thing else is of the highest order.

golden color. Sake yeast, yuzu, a but of pale malt and tropical fruit in the nose. Very unique. Full bodied, underlying hoppiness. The flavor is just bizzare, but then u start to groove on it. Sake yeast is really predominate with tropical fruit and caramel malt. Big body. Totally unique, but I do like the more I drink. You need to have more than a sip of this beer to love it

Draught at Molto. Very nice hop nose, crisp citrus, flowers, grapefruit, lightly topical. Deep, dark gold with a fine head. Nice hop flavor, rich clean malt, citrus, tropical fruits, big bitterness. Very clean and refreshing. Full and smooth but not heavy. Great.
