Take the time to full enjoy its flavors and the slightly elevated alcohol content. Called "Beniaka" Meaning Crimson Red, in honor of the colors of the sweet potatoes which helped produce it.

On tap at Watermans Beer Market 170515. I must say that I didn’t detect much sweet potato in the flavour or the aroma. Deep amber colour with plenty of maltiness.

Bottle. My first from this brewery. Clear and pored with no head. Slightly sweet with some roasted maltiness.. Unusual without being outlandish. Probably my first beer that has been produced using sweet potato.

On tap at Tokyu Department store event. Deep amber to brown color with a nice soapy beige head. Big aromas of malt, and dark fruit. Like cola on the palate with active carbonation and a medium to full body mouthfeel. Sweet on the palate but not overly cloying. Nice slightly bitter finish. Nice Japanese original beer.

Deep amber color. Smell reminds me of mugicha (barley tea). Very malty mouth with cherries and wood. Lingering sweet finish. Went excellent with what ever spicy food I was eating eight years ago when I had this beer.

Tap at Bakushu Club Popeye, Tokyo. Hazy brownish orange shade. Short head. Caramel and tangerine tones abounding. Kind of a greasy resinous feel that may or may not be hop contributions. Hard to pick out the sweet potato. OK but not something I’d really drink again.
