3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Fruit salad aroma, tropical feel. Fruity malt, peach, pepper, floral bitter finish. Very smooth hoppy ale, quite drinkable despite the bitterness.

Tap at ibrew. Have heard great things about this, but didn’t quite get it myself. Pale blond colour, small white head. Aroma is hoppy, citrus, bit twiggy. Citra hops? Grapefruit. Taste is similar, grapefruit, twiggy bitterness. Slight maltiness. Ok, but not so exciting. Quite crisp, medium carbonation. Think my indifference to this hop (if that is the hop that is in it) has put me off a bit. Probably prefer this to some of their other beers though.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Had this at the Great Japan Beer Festival Ebisu.
Aroma: A floral, citrus strong hop forward nose with just enough of a bready malt to make it a very good ale.
Appearance: Pale/Golden color fairly clear with not much head (small serving size though)
Taste: medium bitterness backed by the strong hope notes. My favorite beer of the festival by far. Best Japanese beer I have ever had maybe.
Palate: light/medium body with average carbonation
Overall: As mentioned above, best beer I have had in Japan that wasn’t imported in a long time. Gives my other favorite, Baird Suruga Bay Imperial IPA a run for it’s money. It is classified as a golden ale, but really you will think IPA when you drink it. A very hoppy session west coast style IPA.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draught at Molto. Slightly cloudy blonde, low, fine head. Great hop nose, grassy, lovely, light citrus. Great flavour, huge hops--grassy, dirty, light citrus, light biscuity malt. Very clean and refreshing, and a perfect session ale.
