(Bottle, Japanese Canteen, Bethnal Green, London, 26 Nov 2015) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, hoppy nose with bread, citrus and a touch of resin. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of bread, cereal, grass and a balanced resiny bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Well made modern style pilsener with a fresh hop character. Quite nice.

Reminder: the one I had yesterday says Kyara India Pale Lager on the label, and since I couldn’t find the exact same name on RB’s list, I’m posting my impressions here. Aroma: moderate hoppy, orange and grass. Appearance: small frothy white head. dark yellow, clear, average-density body. fair lacing. mostly diminishing. Initial and final flavors: moderate bitter (hoppy) and light sweet (orange); long duration. Palate: light medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation and metallic finish. Well done. Bearable hop bitterness. 40s usd3,95

A hazed golden ale with a thin creamy lacing white head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with grassy floral hops, grapefruit pulp, nice. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with grassy floral hops, light grapefruit notes, nice and refreshing. On tap at Coedo Hong Kong.

Bottle at Japanese Canteen, Bethnal Green - London. Pours lightly hazy, deep gold with a frothy white head. The nose has crackery pale mats, old pine, bread, white grape. Medium sweet flavor with sugary crackers, crusty bread, hay, golden raisins, stale pine, marshmallows. Medium bodied with average carboantion. Finishes sweet, with flabby, old and crackery mats, old and faded piney hops, a little bit of caramel. Somewhat tasty still, but it seems as though this beer is a little old.
