3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Gr0ve (1875) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUN 2, 2008
355 ml bottle. Golden yellow colour. Crystal clear. Medium-white head. Mellow sweet malt aromas. Light notes with hints of honey. Little hops to be found. Oily sweet malt flavours balanced by crisp floral hops with a soft metallic bitterness. A little acidic towards the end. Hints of citrus.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Tim Webb (129) - Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - OCT 4, 2010
33cl bottle ordered from the brewery mailed within Japan. I find Wiener lager a difficult style to enjoy. It is as if it is a taste that has gone out of fashion. Too ’matured’ for the newer lager traditions. OK, I don’t like them. But if I did this would be a good one. The lingering essence not quite burnt sugar is prominent. Claims to be 100% malt.
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 shoulderbroken (587) - Tokyo, JAPAN - MAY 23, 2012
Can from the local supermarket, Maruman. Amber colour with small beige gold head. Aroma is toffee malty, grainy, not much else, but perfectly pleasant. Taste is caramel and toffee, slight bitterness at the end. Nice Vienna, and after really being disappointed by the last Coedo I had, this was a pleasant surprise. Sweetness but not sickly. Decent Vienna as far as I am concerned.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 KyotoLefty (3752) - Kyoto, JAPAN - DEC 12, 2008
From the bottle, which is much better than the can.
Golden color, just a bit of amber. Low, lacy head. Sweet malt aroma, biscuits and grains, honey, slightly earthy. Pine? A touch of hops. Rich malt flavor, slightly darkened, quite sweet. Rich, with a decently thick palate that sticks. Enough hops to balance, but unobtrusive. A nice vienna. Could look a little darker, but tastes right.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 OleR (3658) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUN 4, 2008
355 ml bottle. Brilliant yellow golden, low white head. Nice toffee aroma with a scent of oranges and flowers. Full malty flavor with an inviting sweetness and a gentle hopbitterness. Good body. Fruity finish. Highly drinkable.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 EdKing (937) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 30, 2011
Can from Kimuraya, Kagurazaka. Pours toasty amber colour with white foeming head. Nose is toasty grain, touch of yeasty sourness. Taste is a toasty grain lager or malty lager with a medium hop bite and bitter tang on the finish.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 TheJollyOne (221) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - FEB 19, 2009
Can version. Nice beer for the price. Very light amber, small white head. Nose was a little hoppy, but more sweet with malts and grains. Taste was soft caramel and sweet cotton candy, some hop in the finish. Light palate.

Pours hazy orange. Small white head. Aroma is sweet from tropical fruits and candy. Flavor is sweet malty. Quit dry finish.

Just noticed I never entered this one. I had this one in Las Vegas on my B-Day (hey it was a harder to find beer and it was Las Vegas!). Poured a medium golden color with an averaged sized head. Aromas of grains, a little toasty, lighter floralness, and lighter honey. Tastes of grains, caramel, and honey sweetness. Overly priced in Sin City, but hey, I’m glad I had it...
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 reebtogi (2169) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 9, 2011
330ml bottle pours a deep bronze color with virtually no head or lace. Aroma is a smokey caramel malt and mild floral hops. Taste is smokey with a malty sweetness and mild hoppy bitterness. Very little carbonation and light to medium body. This is a pretty solid lager which is considerably better than a traditional macro lager.
