COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Coedo's beer is brewed from selected malts and hops with the technique of beer artisan, braumeister.

With the stark contrast of its clear golden hues and fluffy pure white head, this premium pilsener boasts a crisp refreshing taste. The name "Ruri" is Japanese for the gemstone Lapis, representing the pure clarity this beer abounds in.

Can from supermarket in Kagurazaka. Fairly typical lager with not a whole lot of exciting features. Pale yellow, medium head. Taste is a sweetish pilsener with a light dry bitter finish and a notable fruitiness to it from floral fruity hops, for a lager.

330ml bottle pours slightly hazy golden in color with a finger and a half of creamy white head which left some nice lacing on the side of the glass. Has a pleasing grainy aroma with a hint of grassy hops. Taste is grainy with some malty sweetness and a mild hoppy bitterness. Nice carbonation and a medium body leave the palate satisfied. This is a refreshing beer that I had while camping in Washington, which may explain why I gave it a higher rating than most.

Bottle from the Davis Co-Op. Pours pale gold with a 3 finger foamy white head. Grassy aroma. Near med body. There’s a light breadiness with a decent amount of grassy hop. Then there’s an odd paperiness with a malt hinting of Near Beer. There’s some malt sweet that’s well balanced, but it doesn’t quite come off as an Urquell clone. Maybe that wasn’t the intent. Drinks nicely.

11.25 oz bottle purchased at the Davis Food Co-op. Light grassy hops to start, which is followed by a little doughy, sweet pilsner malt. A little floral, and decently aromatic. Transparent golden body with a smallish white head present. Spicy, hoppy start, before this takes on a pretty striking vegetal complexion in the middle. Gets a little metallic towards the finish, and finishes fairly bitter with herbal and floral hops. This beer is just "dirty" for being a lager.

Bottle. Golden beer with a whitish head. Skunked aroma with malt. Malt and light citrus flavor. Medium bodied. Malt and light citrus lingers with liht mineral.

Bottle. Golden, very small and fully diminishing head. Moderate, malty-grainy sweetish aroma, some bread. Body is medium, malty-grainy and sweetish flavor, some bread, faint grassy hoppyness. Finish is average, malty and sweetish, some bread, faint grassy hoopyness. Not really pils, more like not so good lager.

Clear golden body with lasting white head. Crisp taste, drinkable, hoppy, but only average to me.

Bottle, gift from LarsGa, thanks!. Very pale beer. Somewhat stale hoppy aroma. Flavour is like a Balkan lager, they have found the recipe, but they’re not wuite able to make it right. The hops are a bit off, there is a hint of cardboard. But it’s almost there, it is perfectly acceptable to drink, but the flavour is not crisp and clean enough.
