3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Grassy hops on the nose with an earthy note. Pours clear blonde with little head. Very crisp and hoppy upfront, earthy and grassy with a very bitter flavor. Very surprising! Its not bad at all.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Can. Fruity, estery, with some grassiness in the nose. Thin, pale, slightly hazy, big head. Yeast dominates the initial flavors; some good sharp fruitiness in mid, along with a substantial hit of carbonation; finish is also sharp. Thin body. Some good interaction between the yeast and the bittering. But the malt flavors are fairly minimal. I wouldn’t really identify this as a pils.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from King&Godfree. Nicely hopped. Aromas of flowers, grass, and honey. Taste is nicely hopped, average length. Palate is oily, and medium bodied. Yellow, with a thin head.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle (bottle conditioned). Pours with a hazy, fuller (deep for a pils) golden hued body with a medium sized white head that slowly fades. Low lace. Aromas are bready, malty, pils like rich character, mild DMS, hay, low sulfur. Otherwise clean yeast. Lightly fruity, nearly citrusy, tea, herbal like hop character. Flavors are quite sweet for a pils, massively under attenuated. Raw pilsner based wort flavor. Really sweet, iced tea, lightly metallic, medium bitter, lightly herbal hop character. Lingering bitterness. Grassy, hay, medium minerals. Lively bubbles, medium bodied. A bit sharp.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: APR 18, 2014 Can from the local supermarket at home. Pours crystal clear blond colour with fluffy white head. Looks quite fizzy. Aroma is malty, lagery, and a bit vegetable. Bit strange. Taste is quite sweet, touch of fruitiness, but overall just quite like a regular lager. All in all, it’s ok, and it might have been one of the first Japanese craft beers, but doesn’t really taste that crafty to me.
Rerate, 04/2014 Have heard Coedo are much better now, but still not convinced. Aroma is pleasantly fruity, but the taste is not really very nice. Sharp without being hoppy. More plastic than anything. Not horrible, but don’t get why people rate Coedo. Would much rather have a malts.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Impressive pour, big white head and light amber body with lingering white head. Aroma is slightly grassy, but overall lacklustre. The flavour is initially an unusual sweetness and breadiness with a fairly mild finish. Left me rather underwhelmed.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Can from supermarket in Kagurazaka. Fairly typical lager with not a whole lot of exciting features. Pale yellow, medium head. Taste is a sweetish pilsener with a light dry bitter finish and a notable fruitiness to it from floral fruity hops, for a lager.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
330ml bottle pours slightly hazy golden in color with a finger and a half of creamy white head which left some nice lacing on the side of the glass. Has a pleasing grainy aroma with a hint of grassy hops. Taste is grainy with some malty sweetness and a mild hoppy bitterness. Nice carbonation and a medium body leave the palate satisfied. This is a refreshing beer that I had while camping in Washington, which may explain why I gave it a higher rating than most.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from the Davis Co-Op. Pours pale gold with a 3 finger foamy white head. Grassy aroma. Near med body. There’s a light breadiness with a decent amount of grassy hop. Then there’s an odd paperiness with a malt hinting of Near Beer. There’s some malt sweet that’s well balanced, but it doesn’t quite come off as an Urquell clone. Maybe that wasn’t the intent. Drinks nicely.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
11.25 oz bottle purchased at the Davis Food Co-op. Light grassy hops to start, which is followed by a little doughy, sweet pilsner malt. A little floral, and decently aromatic. Transparent golden body with a smallish white head present. Spicy, hoppy start, before this takes on a pretty striking vegetal complexion in the middle. Gets a little metallic towards the finish, and finishes fairly bitter with herbal and floral hops. This beer is just "dirty" for being a lager.
