Coedo's beer is brewed from selected malts and hops with the technique of beer artisan, braumeister.

With the stark contrast of its clear golden hues and fluffy pure white head, this premium pilsener boasts a crisp refreshing taste. The name "Ruri" is Japanese for the gemstone Lapis, representing the pure clarity this beer abounds in.

Grassy hops on the nose with an earthy note. Pours clear blonde with little head. Very crisp and hoppy upfront, earthy and grassy with a very bitter flavor. Very surprising! Its not bad at all.

Pours straw with a small fading head. Noes shows straw, light malt, sweet corn and cooked vegetables. Some vegetables notes as flavours too followed by a little sweet light malt and spicy hops.

Bottle from The Wine Emporium September 2013. Not the best or the worst pilsener I have ever had but somewhere in between.

Can (Kyoto)
Clear golden color, good white head, lace. Harsh malty aroma, herbal hops. Light to medium-bodied. Bready maltyness, light touch of butter, some noble hops but no so brightly. Doesn’t feel so fresh (can says 140505).

zapach chmielowy, ziołowy, ale też lekko kwaśny. kolor złoty, lekko zmętniony, piana trwała, ale niezbyt obfita. w smaku spora, długa goryczka przypominająca pomieszanie grapefruita z ziołami, niska pełnia, lekko kwaśne.

33 cl can, souvenir from Japan trip. Pale golden color, somewhat cloudy. Aroma’s are grain, malt and light fruit. Flavor is light malty sweet, somewhat fruity and faint bitterness. Light bodied, not too thin. Finishes with a light bitterness and something weird, off. Meh.

333ml bottle. Cloudy, yellowish, pale golden colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Slightly floral and fruity aroma, a touch of orange and lemon zest, some straw. Taste is herbal, fruity, a peppery touch, minimally bitter and strawy. Strange for a Pilsener, nevertheless quite interesting.
