Coedo's beer is brewed from selected malts and hops with the technique of beer artisan, braumeister.

With the stark contrast of its clear golden hues and fluffy pure white head, this premium pilsener boasts a crisp refreshing taste. The name "Ruri" is Japanese for the gemstone Lapis, representing the pure clarity this beer abounds in.

Grassy hops on the nose with an earthy note. Pours clear blonde with little head. Very crisp and hoppy upfront, earthy and grassy with a very bitter flavor. Very surprising! Its not bad at all.

Appearance: small frothy white head. fair lacing. mostly diminishing. light yellow, clear thin body. Aroma: light hoppy (good quality), flowers and light yeasty. initial flavor:moderate sweet (deliciously floral and fruity).final flavor: moderate sweet and light bitter (quality hops); average duration. Palate: medium body, watery/oily texture, lively carbonation and metallic finish. Well above the Brazilian commercial beer average. Quality hops are tasted throughout the sip and really make a difference. 15s

35cl can. Yellow color slightly hazed. Big, creamy, solid, stable candid white head. Inviting bready smell. Bready malts, some dough, sustained herbal notes ending up in bittering hops. Full bodied for the style, oily and a bit dusty texture. Balanced taste, finish is bitter. Kinda zwick’l.

> Super clean, refreshing, blossom forward light pilsner

[ Bottle ][ Sake House Encinitas ][ 12oz ][ $8 ][ Frosted Mug ][ 4/2/14 ]
>> Pours a clear, deeper golden with impressive white foam, very nice lacing and retention lets you know this one is actually hoppy. Nose delivers a very fresh, floral blossom note, pomelo. Taste is a bit bland but super clean profile with no sugar and mild hop bite that grows into fairly solid white pepper and grapefruit peel by the end of the glass that solidifies this beer as being well made, refreshing, and clearly in the right for claiming Pilsner, a style I guard with passion.

>!< Could be more assertive bitterness wise

zapach chmielowy, ziołowy, ale też lekko kwaśny. kolor złoty, lekko zmętniony, piana trwała, ale niezbyt obfita. w smaku spora, długa goryczka przypominająca pomieszanie grapefruita z ziołami, niska pełnia, lekko kwaśne.

330ml bottle pours slightly hazy golden in color with a finger and a half of creamy white head which left some nice lacing on the side of the glass. Has a pleasing grainy aroma with a hint of grassy hops. Taste is grainy with some malty sweetness and a mild hoppy bitterness. Nice carbonation and a medium body leave the palate satisfied. This is a refreshing beer that I had while camping in Washington, which may explain why I gave it a higher rating than most.

Well made beer with good head retention. Quite hoppy for the style and not at all grassy, more fruity undertones. A lemon aspect also runs through the body. Having said all that it’s a bit non descript, though would be good in a pinch, as it’s readily available.

Bottle from Davis Co-op. Pours golden with a huge off-white head and a light floral aroma. There is a slightly sweet pilsner malt flavor with a little banana ester and a bitter finish. Refreshing.
