heavy (1490) - Split, - MAR 28, 2010
08/03 Draught at the brewpub. It poured slightly hazy reddish to violet body with pretty big pink head. Cherry aroma is overwhelming sweet bread malt. Cherry flavor at first, then peppery chili starts to bite. Nothing too much, just to fight with juicy cherry flavor. Medium to fuller body. In finish chili definitely wins and stays in the mouth for quite long time but sour-sweet cherry remains as well. Not overly strong and very drinkable chili beer, actually the first I enjoyed.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours cloudy reddish with a big pinkish mousse head. Aroma is sweet cherry and malty. Taste is initially sweet cherrys before it turns medium burning chilli, leaves the mouth both oily and clean, strange. Quite good and interesting, but I did not finish this one.

Christian (8548) - Odense, DENMARK - DEC 26, 2011
On tap at teh site in October. Cloudy red with a lasting pink head. Malty and herbal aroma with DMS, and a hint of cherry. Sweetish pils malt flavour with cherries and a sting of chili. The cherry sweetness and chili heat is well balanced and works quite well

Sweet fruit - like the more commercfial Belgian fruit beers, then a nice chili warming creeping in. Top marks for trying, but this is mostly a gimmick.

Koelschtrinker (7054) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 9, 2011
Test vom 27.8.2008, Gebinde: Fass Noten: 10,8,10,7,-,7 - 7,94

Draught. Reddish pink with a short lived white head. Aroma is dull and dusty. Flavour is cherry and spicy kick. Finish is warm chilli, lingers at the base of the throat.

Svesse (4389) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - AUG 18, 2010
(Draught at the brewpub, Berlin, 22 July 2010) Red colour with foamy, pink head. Fruity nose with notes of cherries and chilli (no surprises I suppose). Fruity, fairly sweet taste with notes of cherries and a generous chilli bite coming through in the finish. Medium body, fairly sweet with a hot, spicy finish lingering for quite a while. Interesting and weird. Drinkable in moderate amounts.

Marko (3115) - Split, CROATIA - MAR 13, 2010
Draught at the brewpub. Poured an almost clear red-brown with a big thick pink head. Light cherry nose, slightly dusty and bready. The taste is in short, sweet cherry fighting with a strong (but not the strongest I’ve encountered) chili finish and aftertaste. Actually quite drinkable despite the persistent burn. Finally a chili beer that I didn’t dislike (the last one was that chocolate chili beer).

joergen (14985) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUL 18, 2009
Draught at the brewpub. Hazy red coloured withh a small white head. Fruity aroma of bananas and berries with some sweetness. Sweet and fruity flavour of berries. Berryish finish.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy deep red with a pink head. Aroma is spiced and mild acidic. Sweet initial flavour with a mild cherry accent. Quite sweet. Chili soon joins in with a classic sharp and building bite into the finish. Interesting and strange.
