Draught at the brewpub. Deep hazy mahogany coloured. Very malty with notes of minerals and dark fruits. Dry finish.

(6/18/08) Draught at the brewpub in Berlin. The lady who served me the beer called it a Schwarzbier. Dark-colored, almost black, with a bubbly beige head. Aroma of roasted malt and some coffee. Sweet flavor with some roastiness and coffee notes. Medium-bodied. Nice stuff.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours murky brown with a lacing brown head. Aroma is light breadish and mild roasted caramel. Spiced malty flavour, mix of liqourice and breadish notes. Ends light bitter and mild toffeecaramel malt flavoured. Another fine beer despite the look.

ekstedt (3783) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUN 11, 2008
Draught at the brewpub. Dark murky brown, small bubbly head. Sourish roasted malt aroma with some liquorice and coffee. Dry and acidic, not good at all. We finished only a quarter of the glass, the rest ended up in a plant outside to avoid the possible embarassment of showing how much we disliked this one. Hopefully the plant did not aquire ny substancial damages due to this...

Cloudy dark brown color, small bubbly brown head. Sweet, grainy and roasted malt scent, a bit of citrus also. Licorice, hoppy and thin malty tsate, licorice aftertaste. Moussy mouthfeel, low bitterness. Actually watered a plant outside with this one...
