japewang (42), USA Dec 3, 2006 Only brew from CDA that i’m not so fond of. Appearance is alway sickly...silty not in a good way for an unfiltered beer. Feels like i need to chew it depending on the keg. Would rather run to the grocery store and get a hefe out of the bottle
beerbrat99 (119), Portland, Oregon, USA Jan 30, 2008 Bottle. Pours an effervescent somewhat bright straw color. A bit of white foam with large bubbles. No lacing. Aroma of eggs, dirt, soap and mild wheaty characteristic. The taste is on the bland side with an earthy sulphur character that is very distracting. Not sure about this one. Maybe it’s way old...no date coding present. auderale (466), Fairchild AFB, Washington, USA Jan 20, 2008 Golden colored pour with little to no head. Nothing strong in the aroma, but a light malty, wheat nose to it. Lightly sweet, with a little citrus. Not bad. BeerPrince (1701), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Nov 11, 2007 Lager coloured with minimal head. Aroma was earthy and slightly corny. No real wheat flavour but instead slightly sweet. Not really a wheat beer at all in flavour. 5000 (2400), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA Nov 9, 2007 Draught @ CDA in Spokane: Darker hefe, dirty deep golden, quite hazy, moderate sudsy head, spotty lacing.   Dull wheaty aroma,
not that big.   Slight cereal, kinda mealy.   Not very wheaty in the mouth.   Still somewhat big tho, at least a bit full.
Clean finish just a bit boring and simple.   More in common with a Golden or Blonde than a hefe.   Meh...
Bradrcr (617), Renton, Washington, USA Sep 15, 2007 On Draught at Spokane Taproom. Aroma is fruity, sweet malt forward with a lot of bready notes, followed by notes of earth, light banana and no clove character. Appearance is a light hazy gold with a moderate maintained white head. Flavor is fruity with bubblegum and light caramel candy. Mouthfeel is light bodied with medium carb feel and a clean finish. Overall, this seems like it’s not quite to style, but a good and interesting interpretation that seems akin to a blonde with wheat character.
