japewang (42), USA Dec 3, 2006 Great flavor. The huckleberry is not overpowering but manages to fully assert flavor without tasting like candy. Not much to look at. Perfect summer beer.
beerdad (42), Kansas, USA Aug 29, 2008 On tap at the brewery. Pours a murky yellow with a white head. Aromas of berries overpower the senses. The flavor is also of huckleberrys, and is too sweet. If you like fruit beers and huckleberrys, this is your beer. DuffMan (1935), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Jul 19, 2008 Pours a hazy bright yellow. Aroma initially is all huckleberry perfume, but as it stands a pepperiness comes forward that is surprising and nice. The flavour again is perfumey berries and some thin papery malt, with a thin mouthfeel and very short dry finish. The aroma holds more character than the beer. CharlesDarwin (1379), State College, Pennsylvania, USA May 31, 2008 12oz Bottle. Noses in a blueberry-blackberry jam aroma. A little artificial and candy. Light stemminess. Not bad actually. Fresh, glowing, not warm, real. Pours a clear pale yellow with a white rim. Flavor is terrible. Evaporative water with a splash of salt and seltzer. Pizza edge. Musty. Off berry flavors. Ick. A bit of strawberry pop rocks. Thanks Matt! weazel (1), USA does not count Apr 15, 2008 great ale for a summer day. Not an overpowering fruity taste, but the huckleberry lends itself well to the light ale. Papsoe (9999), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 13, 2008 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of Skyview. Pours a hazy golden with a creamy, off-white head leaving laces. Lightly perfumy but very fresh berry notes. Medium-bodied with lovely, spicy berry accents. Short and dry finish. A very fresh and quaffable fruit beer. 040408
