COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An English harvest festival ale and award winner at the United States Beer Tasting Championships. This beer is a dark-red ale typically brewed in celebration of the harvests. A modest amount of hopping and a combination of roasted grains and malts make our customers look forward to this award-winner every fall.

Light copper. Vanilla scents. Flavour is that of a fruity ESB with a nice hoppy finish.

Red-amber appearance with decent head. Bubblegum aroma leads to a candied malt flavor backed by solid hopping.

TAP - solid winter ale. Deep brown color with hints of red. Good holiday spices primarily of cinnamon and nutmeg quite tasty.

Pours a nice medium amber color. Nice roast aromas. Flavor has a roast almost burnt grain flavor to it.

This isn't the area's best winter offering. The roasted flavor is a bit overpowering. I didn't really taste much else.

This was VERY roasty, and the roastiness was particularily well recieved by portlandrunk and I, although the signature bitter grains were still luirking there in the shadows. There were some chocolate notes but the roasted barley definitely seemed to be the biggest characteristic.

Body on this one is decent, pretty full. Nice round bitterness mixed in with a generous use of chocolate malts. Slight roastiness. A decent winter beer. What the heck is an american dark?
