HInts of red in an amber bodied brew. Nose of strawberries and wheat. A mix of malt-o-meal and strawberry jam. The light wheat and strawberries seem to work well in this one and not get too sweet. A summertime brew.

Poured a pinkish gold color with a moderate amount of lightly-tinted white head. The smell has quite a bit of strawberry pungency, which was actually quite nice. The taste, however, is quite a bit more overpowering and doesn’t taste at all natural, affecting the drinkability, as one sip is decent enough, but as my wife and I tried to finish a sampler glass it began to taste more and more like a fruity malt beverage. Draught at the brewpub (Spokane, WA location). Hazy deep golden,no head. Minimal aroma. Sweet and fruity, light bodied. Simplistic with unpleasant boiled vegetables, some fruitiness and butter. No bitterness. Void.

5 oz sample at brewpub. Hazy orange, frothy white head. Aroma of mild grain and weak fruit. Taste has some fruit flavor but not much, also wheat is very light. Medium light body, smooth carbonation.

Tap @ Brewpub: Hazy copper, light head and sticky lacing. Nose of fresh fruit and dough, pancake and lots of fresh strawberries. Fruity impact but balanced and a rich malty body. Clean finish. Not too sweet. Fresh and tasty! Excellent fruit hefe.

Fourth stop during the ABA Beer Tour ’07 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Sampled on tap at the downtown brewpub. Pours a cloudy burnt amber brew with a fast dissolving off-white head. Aroma of strawberry cream, some wheat and multi-grain malt, and a touch of flowery hops. Taste is more like a summer wine cooler. Lots of carbonation, light bodied, fruity strawberries with hardy any wehat flavor. Could not pick up much yeast flavor that is in most hefeweizens. Finish is smooth, fruity with a nice strawberry aftertaste.
