3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tan finger with legs over jet; not very viscous. 3.75
Treacle and bacon. 3.75
Licorice and rum, mild phenol clove in the middle, and mild malted milk balls to end. 3.5
Medium, round, and chewy. 3.5
Looks a bit thin and sickly sweet nose. Doesn’t improve from here: too sugary, not smoky enough, and just bleh. Only decent as a porter. More mediocrity and faux-American branding from Coisbo. 3.5

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: APR 16, 2016 Pours with a light head which has a creamy taste. Dark brown and with a chocolate nose and light coffee. Taste is sweetish and also gives a rich malt of different choices. Not much of hops but still really a nice companionship.

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Disappointingly flat carbonation, no real finish, soft texture. The smoked quality of this beer is humble indeed, making for a beer that’s a little too ’easy’ to drink, and which leaves you wanting more ... well, smoke. Plenty of aroma, though.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
(Coisbo Brooklyn Fall) Bottle 330 ml from a trade with Beerhunter111, thanks! Served into a dimpled mug, ABV 6.2%
Dark mahogany brown colour on the body, with a good sized beige head sitting on top, thick, and with good retention.
Aroma has subtle smoke, light alcohol, vanilla, chocolate.
Taste has also the slightest of smoke, lots of chocolate, moccha, vanilla, light alcohol present although it’s just a 6.2% beer, roasted malts, fudge, light ash, red fruits.
Medium body, good carbonation, slightly sticky on the palate.
More like a porter this one, if you expect lots of smoke you’d be disappointed but other than that it’s a fantastic beer.
