3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 tfredvik (630) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 18, 2012
Deep amber clear body with a somewhat creamy, white head that is short-lived and doesn’t leave much lacing on the glass. Moderate aroma that is dominated by sweet liquorice, it reminds me of the Kick liquorice candy bar. Also some dark fruity notes. The taste is moderate sweet with a moderate to light bitter finish. The flavour profile is a bit more complex and far stronger than the aroma (if it’s possible to compare the strength of an aroma to the strength of a flavour…). The liquorice is in the front, also some spicy bitter note that is closer to anise seeds. I also get caramel and fruits. Oily texture, soft carbonation, medium body. A bit too much liquorice. but still a nice one.
