Skinnyviking (6925) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAY 23, 2014
Draught at CBF 2014. Low fluffy white head. Clear amber body. Mild ginger malt caramel aroma. Pretty hoppy and peppary malt ginger flavor with a dusty note. Low carbonation. Long bitter finish.

Bamsen78 (3078) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - MAR 3, 2014
Bottle. Pours slightly hazy amber with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of citrus, flowers, hops, and ginger. Intense bitter, hoppy flavour, with sweetish fruity notes and spicy touches of ginger. Bitter aftertaste. The ginger notes are quite disturbing, actually, making the beer more interesting than good.

Flaske 0,5l. Spandert av Rune under hyggelig treff i WCveien 11 Jan 14. Gylden. Høyt luftig skum som varer. Litt lacing. Svak ingefæraroma. Smaken er tørr ingefær. Passet fint til Indisk gryte.

Medium big off-white head over golden beer, aromas of citrus, fruit and ..ginger. Medium full on the palate, good lively carbonation. The taste scheme fronts the ginger drive, but maybe not too much, the fruit is well integrated but the hops bitterness works less well in tandem with the ginger. Also, the gionger has a hot sweetness to its base that I’m unsure about. Maybe so alien to me that I need to have another to make up my mind, maybe try some time with savoury east asian food.

0.5l bottle. This is a clear dark golden one with a medium sized almost fluffy off-white head that’s leaving nice lacing down the sides of the glass. It smells of ginger and white sugar infused. A bit of fart and lots of butter also found in the aroma. Not my kind of aroma to be honest. Not that it don’t enjoy ginger beers or ginger in beers, but this is a bit bah... It has a really light watery mouthfeel and a soft to average carbonation level. If I didn’t know that this was a 5 percent abv beer i would have guess estimated it to be a alcofree pale added ginger, pumpkin, elderflower juices, galangal, herbal tea and pepper. It’s actually not bad tasting, just utterly strange and I’m finding it hard to really enjoy the flavors combined. It kills the thirst, but I guess that’s about it. 11.10.2013

Bottle 500ml @ gynnfryd
Pours slightly hazy deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel/toffee, ginger and citrus. Taste is light to medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a fruity and caramel finish. Body is light to medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

yngwie (13345) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - DEC 28, 2013
Bottle. A dense, two-finger head, off-white in color, forms over an unclear, golden body. It’s fruity and citrusy on the nose, with some ginger. Pale malts and some licorice hints. Bready hints. The flavor is bready and malty, with some anise notes and a faint ginger-ish hints. Almost butterscotchy. Medium to full body, semi-dry, with a pleasant carbonation level. Definitely not my kind of beer this one. 131228

It’s hazy orange with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of malt, citrus, fruits and a touch of ginger. The flavor has a light sweetness, a pleasant dry bitterness and notes of ginger, malt and fruit, and the finish is spicy!
