Draft at Sharkeys. Pours deep brown with an off white head. Faint roasted malts, molasses sweetness, and wet cardboard. Bleh.

Draft... Pours clear, dark and deeply red with a mid-sized, creamy, off-white head. Excellent retention. Thick, creamy lace coats the rim of my glass. The olfactory highlights here are toasted nuts and milk chocolate. Light to medium-bodied with stinging carbonation. Roasty, toasty and decently-balanced, but not all that flavorful. There’s a hint of salt in the crisp, prickly, highly-carbonated finish.

This beer is brown... Offers dirt, caramel, and dry leaves. Finishes a bit sweet and odd. Not enjoyable really. Boring and a little off.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tallahassee, Fl - ABC Fine Wine & Spirits - Betton - growler. Dark chestnut brown pour, quickly fading off-white bubbly white head. Aroma of bittersweet unsweetened chocolate notes, some light molasses notes. Flavor is subtly sweet with some brown sugar, a touch of milk chocolate, a hint of molasses and a caramel note in the back end, Mouthfeel has a decent thickness to it. Went with with my Trader Joe’s Mushroom and Truffles pizza for dinner.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Rated on 3-01-2014 at Naples Craft Beer Fest in Naples, Florida. This beer pours a small tan head with a short retention, amber body, very little carbonation, and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is roasted malt, caramel and nutty. The taste mimics the aroma with a hint of sweetness. This beer is light bodied. This is not one of the better brown ale beers that I have rated as the flavors are rather bland tasting and there is no WOW factor at all with this beer.

Tap. Darn brown pour with a finger of mocha head. Caramel, coffee, toffee. Not a lot of depth in flavor. Caramel tastes artificial. Lighter than expected body. Short with vanilla caramel finish

Tap at CCB. Smell malt and Carmel. Pours brown with nice two finger head. Taste Carmel, malt, cocoa and some nuttiness. Overall a beer that is drinkable.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a clear copper brown on tap with thin cream head and good lacing. Aroma is caramel and nut brown, but light. Taste follows, thin and malty. Why does this place distribute?
