i dont know why exactly i got this. i dont like fruit beers usually. i just wanted to see what else a local brewery could make, as id already had their regular wheat ale. this one smells and tastes like blueberry syrup. blueberry is a hard flavor to replicate as its very delicate, and this one tastes more like it came from a concentrate or something. basically tastes like blueberry rock candy. its refreshing and light, like most fruit beers tend to be. but its too sweet and one dimensional to drink more than one.

Tap at Crum’s in St. Pete. Clear yellow pour with spotty lace. Blueberry muffin mix aroma. Taste is diacetyl with big chemical pool cleaner. Salty. Sharp chemicals. Tastes like laundry detergent with fake blueberry muffin flavorings. Clear yellow with this much blueberry? Clearly artificial.

Smell is fairly clear with perhaps a faint arty hint of fruit but barely perceivable. Taste is fruity rotten something in there, but in a good way. Dull, non-sweet typical fruit beer. Probably some kinda ale with blueberry flavoring added. Can’t tell if the addition was before or after fermenting.

Bottle pours light gold with white head. Aromas are of grain and berries. Taste is lagerish with berry sweetness. Not much else going on. Not horrible, but not great.

Bottle. Pale golden yellow pour with a small white head. Lots of sweet blueberry sweetness in the aroma and flavor and not much else. Way to sweet for my liking, but I could see fans of Sea Dog Blue Paw liking this one.

Bottle from Liz. Huge blueberry aroma. Pours pale gold with a slight white head. Med body. Might be a little malt and hop, especially in the finish, but from start well towards end it’s blueberry with some skin at the end.

12oz bottle-pours a dissipating white head with yellow color. Aroma is hay, grassy, some blueberry. Taste is hay, grassy hops, hint of blueberry.

12 ounce bottle, pours a pale yellow color with aromas of artificial blueberries. I was expecting to be punched in the mouth with blueberry flavor (I was expecting a blueberry syrup that you get on pancakes due to the smell), however the flavor was a weak blueberry flavor with not much else to note.

Blueberry, Blueberry, Blueberry! The aroma is overwhelmingly Blueberry. Appearance is light golden with a thin head. Taste is refreshing (especially if you like blueberry) with some carbonation. You can get the wheat as the beer warms, but the Blueberry stays prominent.

...draft. Looked weak in the glass, pale yellow, small white head, served with blueberries. nose was blueberries, and some bread. Had a decent blueberry flavor, with a hint of wheat in there somewhere, and maybe a little hay. Finished clean and fresh. Wasn’t bad.
