Bottle at Oslo Ølfestival 2012. Lots of sweet malt, very true to type English bitter. Well balanced, fine aroma and bitter hops. Not in any way extreme, just a fine session beer.

Lovely red amber colour with a white head. Fresh aroma with some caramel malt and fruity notes. Medium body. Balanced sweetnes with a fine bitter finish. Flavour dominated by caramel malt and fruity notes. I will definately go for more of this.

Bottle from Meny Manglerud enjoyed at home
Pours dark amber with a nice beige head. Smells of malts, caramel, hints of citrus and earth, hints of dark fruits as well. Taste is moderate sweet, quite clean, some dark malts, small hints of toast and dark fruit; quite nice actually. Moderate bitter, british hops. Not the most exciting brew, but nice malts, no flaws, just good english style beer. Much better than their pale ale

Big beige head. Clear deep dark brownish red body. Roasty perfumy toffee aroma with peppery caramel notes. Dry-sweet caramelly toffee taste with perfumy earthy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish perfumy caramelly roasted almonds aftertaste with metallic toffee and spice notes. Really nice. Still has that basic perfumy character, but this one is richer and sweeter than the others. (0.5l bottle, Meny Strømmen Storsenter.)

0.5l clear bottle. A near clear deep amber colored one with a nice medium sized beige head that’s leaving some serious lacing down the glass. Smells nice, light sweet and malty with thin caramel, malty biscuits and a little fruitiness. Quite nice actually. Mild oily on the mouthfeel and the carbonation level is average and small bubbled. Much the same in the taste really. Clean, light sweet, malty profile with a good reference to roasted hazel nuts. Really easy to drink, yet it has a good amount of flavor for being a relatively lightweighter. A little bit of chocolate wrapper and dried fruits in the finish. Wet rocks in the aftertaste. By far the best I’ve had from these guys. 21.07.2013
