COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cold Boy Stout is a classic, traditional Stout Ale. Complex taste with a rich and full body. It may be dark in appearance but inspired by the pure nature in Norway, we have designed a surprisingly crisp ale with a full bouquet of crisp fruits, spices and floral aromas. A stout is for the true connoisseur.

500 ml bottle. Slightly unclear, dark amber body with a small beige head. Aroma of light roasted malt, coffee and some liquorice. Flavor is sweet, roasted malt, coffee, liquorice and moderate bitterness. Medium body and a bit short in aftertaste. Decent stout for the Norwegian grocery marked, still there is a few better samples out there. Average.

500ml Bottle - Black with a small head. Roasted aroma with notes of coffee, malt and raisins. Roasted amd malty taste with notes of coffee, chocolate, roasted malt and a hint of dried fruit. Quite nice, but why is it in a clear bottle?

0.5l bottle at hotel room in Oslo. This is a deep darkbrown/ruby red one with a medium sized lacing beige top. It has a nice roasted aroma with chocolate paper, nuts and roasted malts. It has a big bubbly average+ carbonation level and light oily mouthfeel. Nice flavors also with soft chocolate, a strong routines sense, almost on the border of burned. It’s also sweet, but a good amount of hops compensate nicely. All in all a decent stout. Not necessarily something I will put to much effort to seek out again, but a nice enough stout this. 01.03.2013

Bottle (50cl) from Meny (Bjølsen), Oslo. Black colour. Half-inch light beige head, good retention, leaves permanent band of lacing. Aroma of slightly smoked roasted malt, coffee and dark chocolate - more like a rye stout or schwarzbier than a traditional dry stout. Aroma appears somewhat ’unfresh’ or oxidized. Medium body, average carbonation. Semi-dry malty taste upfront, quite well-balanced, that finishes on a drier note.

07.04.2013. 0,5l Bottle. Thanks to Gunnar! Black colour with a thin layered white head. Aroma of dark malts with roasted bitter aftertaste. At first its rather light with moderate sweetness. Medium to thin body. Notes of smoke and peat. Aftertaste is bitter with a roasted dry finish. Nice beer and my first from Coldboy!

Bottle from Ultra enjoyed at home
Pours dark brown, black in glass, nice brown head. Smells of roasted and burned malts, coffee and some hops. Moderate sweet, quite dry mouthfeel, alot of roasty and toasty tones and coffee, besides that a quite clean and malty flavor. Moderate bitter, some earthy elements. A very nice stout, sadly in that clear bottle container

Bottle (kindly shared by omhper!). Very deep ruby red colour, close to black with a small brown head. Aroma is coffee, mild toasted nuts, some toffee and slight burnt wood. Flavour is coffee, burnt wood, some ashes and mild nuttyness as well. Pleasantly biting carbonation making the stout feel very fresh. Long nutty and roasted coffee in the aftertaste.
