Rich reddish copper colour. There’s a, not unpleasant, hint of sulphur in the aroma but, otherwise its mainly smoky malt. The malt carries through on to the palate, with a decent balancing bitterness. Dry finish and medium mouthfeel. Quite autumnal. Cask (handpump) at the White Hart, Llanddarog, Wales (brewpub).
