Rhyme & Reason, Extra Pale Ale American style pale ale. The flavour and aroma of Citra, Centennial, Chinook and Simcoe hops prevail without excessive bitterness for maximum drinkability. Malt sweetness of Pale Ale, Crystal Carafoam and Wheat Flakes in the background complements the hops for a crisp finish. 5.7 ABV 55 IBUs (Bottles and Draft)

You can imagine my surprise when I saw that the SAQ started carrying that... I do hope it will be fresh since it is just from the next province! Pours a lightly hazy golden with a medium-high white head that leaves nice lacing. Nose is of oranges, melon, pine and resin. Nice hop mix! Taste is moderately bitter and not too sweet. Pine needles, light sweet cereals. Body is medium, carbonation moderately high and expressive. Bitterness lingers for quite a while but is never bothersome. Really nice, I’m impressed! Keep it up, SAQ!

Bottle from local Saq A: citrusy, light mango, light caramel app: clear copper with thick lasting white head and excellent lacing t/p: med body with moderate long bitter finish and moderate carbonation. O: I couldn’t find any date on the bottle I’m suspicious that even tough it’s brand new on saq’s shelves, that the beer isn’t super fresh. More fruitiness in aroma wise would benefit the beer. An updated rating of a draft version could be welcome.

0.341 bottle. Hazy, yellow color and a small, white head. Aroma of fruits, mango, flowers, hops - quite nice. Taste is bitter, hoppy, somewhat fruity, citric to an extent. Medium body, slick texture, and average carbonation. Finish is long and bitter, grapefruit-like. Overall not a bad beer, quite usual though.

Pint on tap at Beer Revolution in Edmonton pours a hazy golden color with a finger of white head that leaves some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is floral with some grapefruit and pine. Taste is a grapefruit and pine hop bitterness with a malty sweetness. Light to medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, a hop forward pale ale which is tasty and balanced with just enough malts.

Big and bitter hoppy taste with a nice and strong floral aroma. Very crisp texture. Cool labels, too.
