COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rhyme & Reason, Extra Pale Ale American style pale ale. The flavour and aroma of Citra, Centennial, Chinook and Simcoe hops prevail without excessive bitterness for maximum drinkability. Malt sweetness of Pale Ale, Crystal Carafoam and Wheat Flakes in the background complements the hops for a crisp finish. 5.7 ABV 55 IBUs (Bottles and Draft)

UPDATED: NOV 6, 2013 355ml bottle. Pours a crystal clear golden yellow with a fluffy, one finger, off-white head. Mild lacing. Aroma is pleasant. Notes of grapefruit, tropical fruits, pine, resin, and bread with an earthyness. Taste is bitter with a a drawn out resiny/pine/grapefruit aftertaste. Medium body and carbonation. Slightly resiny in the mouth but still moderately clean and crisp. Overall I’m really liking this. Solid aroma and taste and very drinkable. Lots of flavour for 5.7%. Would probably buy again.

Pours a foggy amber topped by a substantial coarse beige head showing great retention and lacing properties. Vivid small are spotted through the glass. The nose is fresh, grapefruit, honey, toasted malts. The taste is bold, fresh and sweet. Good corpus and bitterness. Very subtle mineral notes and a very dry green vegetable finish. Very good. Cheers!

On tap at Jack Astor’s. Pours a medium size foamy white head and has a pale golden appearance. Sticky lacing. Aromas of tropical fruits, citrus and grassy hops. Flavours are mostly of the hop variety, lots of big citrus notes, piney and grassy hops as well. Some subtle sweet malty notes. Great retention. Smooth and silky mouthfeel. Quite enjoyable.

Bonne IPA

So glad I bought a six pack of this beer! Great aroma, very balanced and complex taste. If you are looking for a great pale ale or even a low abv IPA, give this beer a go.

341 ml bottle. Pours a slightly veiled pale golden with a short lived white head. Aroma is pale malt, light herbal hop. Flavor is pale malt, grain, slightly roasted, some caramel. Finish is a good herbal punch and grapefruit. Nice, lingering bitter finale. Medium body, average carbonation.

355 ml bottle purchase at the Boisbriand SAQ on Novembre 5, 2015. Dark hazy orange, medium head. Light hoppy aroma, sweet coniferous notes. Taste is about the same, with some nice citrus notes, nice light bitterness. Very decent pale ale, only snobs would hate it!

(1650-101115)
